"CNN CREW WITNESSES AIR BOMBING IN LIBYA"

Earlier in class today, we spoke about how CNN once showed images and videos from the Iraq war. These images and videos in which they presented were very violent, as they showed every bomb and injury, which had occurred on battlegrounds. Here, it is interesting to see CNN post a video of reporters briefly listening to sounds of bombs rather than images but hearing it from a reporter who did in fact whiteness the bombings. I think this shows a big turn in how we, as American citizens, understand the war. We no longer are faced with the emotional reality of the war but rather the facts.

  1. This is like the famous scene of the CNN reporters in Baghdad during the 1991 war in Iraq. Now they're doing it just because they can't get cameras inside the country.
