News coverage in Libya?

In a New York Times article, Libyan Woman Struggles to Tell Media of Her Rape, it describes the experience of a Libyan woman, under the name of Eman al-Obeidy, her tragedy with the members of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi’s militia. She ran to journalist to explain her story of the sexual abuse the men have put her through. She revealed her bruises and scars the 15 men left after mistreating her. “For the members of the foreign news media here at the invitation of the government of Colonel Qaddafi — and largely confined to the Rixos Hotel except for official outings — the episode was a reminder of the brutality of the Libyan government and the presence of its security forces even among the hotel staff”.
Once she escaped after two days, she demanded to speak to the news service Reuters and The New York Times. She admitted that “There is no media coverage outside.” She showed the cameras her bruises to inform the public of the current situation in Libya. While the journalist were interviewing and shielding her, journalist were violated by Libya’s security. Afterwards, authorities said that she was ill and the stories of her assault were “fantasies.”
Attached is the article with a video of the horrific scene:

  1. Just think of the amount of cases where this is happening. The amount of women who feel as though could never tell anyone if they are being abused in anyway- that they will be condemned if they report such atrocities. I just read this excerpt from an interview- that a women was hurt because she was accused of having an affair and Jews helped her and then in order for her family to forgive her for the possible affair she attempted to commit a terrorist attack. This is what certain societies are- that this Libyan women was scared and this women hurt and accused of affair would only be forgiven if she blew herself up.

From an interview with Member of the Knesset Dr. Arieh Eldad in the New English Review...

    Dr. Eldad:
I was instrumental in establishing the Israeli National Skin Bank, which is the largest in the world.
The National Skin Bank stores skin for every day needs as well as for war time or mass casualty situations.
This skin bank is hosted at the Hadassah Ein Kerem University hospital in Jerusalem where I was the Chairman of plastic surgery. This is how I was asked to supply skin for an Arab woman from Gaza, who was hospitalized in Soroka Hospital in Beersheva, after her family burned her.
Usually, such atrocities happen among Arab families when the women are suspected of having an affair.
We supplied all the needed Homografts for her treatment. She was successfully treated by my friend and colleague
Prof. Lior Rosenberg and discharged to return to Gaza .
She was invited for regular follow up visits to the outpatient clinic in Beersheva.
One day she was caught at a border crossing wearing a suicide belt.
She meant to explode herself in the outpatient clinic of the hospital where they saved her life.
It seems that her family promised her that if she did that, they would forgive her.
This is only one example of the war between Jews and Muslims in the Land of Israel.
It is not a territorial conflict. This is a civilizational conflict, or rather a war between civilization & barbarism.
Bibi Gets it, Obama does not.

    Awareness needs to be made.

  2. After watching the video it is very hard for me to believe the authorities that claim that the stories of her assault were "fantasies." In the video it even shows them putting a bag over her head. If her stories were fake, why were they so against her speaking her mind? It really troubles me how in the women in the Middle East barely have any freedom. The men with this woman were probably the same ones abusing her and is probably why they tried taking her away. We in the United States should really start trying to use our freedom to help other women who need and deserve this freedom as well. Do you think using new media could help us with spreading awareness?
